I don’t necessarily think we’re going to see a sustained bull market from here on out, and I’m bearish by nature, but here’s a tale of the start of the bear.
When prices were falling, some were quick to proclaim it a bear market. They were widely shot down but others saying that a bear market would feel much more severe: in essence, ”if you think this is a bear market, you ain’t seen nothing yet”.
After a month or two, more bears emerged, but many were still waiting for the upswing. “It’s just a pullback”.
After four months, I saw people split on whether it was a bull or bear market. I’d made up my mind: “a bear market is a sustained downtrend over a period of months, that’s all I need to know”.
And now we’re here, with four months of uptrend. I’ve seen people say ”if you think this is a bull market, you ain’t seen nothing yet”. I’ve seen them say “it’s just a bull trap”.
Though it may not continue, it feels like how’s the time to say: “a bull market is a sustained uptrend over a period of months, that’s all I need to know”.
